Lotus tests Evija: 2000 horsepower electric hypercar

The development of the first all-electric Lotus continues, and the engineering team evaluates the dynamics of the main chassis of the hypercar today.
The British automaker has three prototypes in operation, and there is still no reliable chassis so that it can cope with such power. It is equipped with special suspension, high-performance brakes and a carbon fiber body.

A full electric sports car will have nearly 2,000 horsepower. Only 130 units will be offered for sale at a price of 1.7 million pounds (about 1.8 million euros) apiece. Also, do not forget about the colossal taxes.

Evija will be the most powerful production car ever created, they say in Lotus. This will be the reference model for the British automaker, as it seeks to restore its status as a global player under the leadership of Geely. Evija is by far the most powerful and most expensive machine made by Lotus.

This is the first Lotus to use a carbon fiber chassis to compensate for a battery weight of 70 kilowatt hours. Evija's design includes two tunnels on each side of the rear of the cab, which help reduce air pressure. This creates interesting visual effects as well as better dynamic performance.http://fiatforum.lv/http://fiatforum.lv/
